What this is and isn't
Only crime data is live (Birmingham Police, updated daily). Every
other layer is clearly dated: 311 service requests are 2018
(the City stopped publishing after 2019); code-enforcement and
investment figures are the 2016–26 consent-agenda record; landfill
markers show permitted capacity, most at approximate locations.
Each card is labeled with its own “as of.” A lower count can mean
fewer problems, or less reporting — this dashboard cannot tell
those apart on its own. Use it to ask better questions, not as a
final answer.
